The U.S. FDA approved Tetanus immunoglobulin on 17th Dec 1991. Tetanus immunoglobulin belongs to the group called plasma immunoglobulin . This medication is used to protect you against tetanus infection and it is usually given with tetanus vaccine.

This medication is used to protect you against tetanus infection and it is usually given with a tetanus vaccine. This medicine helps to prevent infection when people get hurt, from a cut or a bite. Even if you had shots before, but got a bad injury, you should still get checked with your doctor.
How is it administered?
This medicine is given only in a hospital setup by a healthcare provider.. It is given intramuscularly, either as single injections or as a continuous infusion (a drip). Your physician will decide the dosage and frequency of this injection based on the severity of your disease and other factors.
