Product Introduction

A Bec 300mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Abacavir, an anti-retroviral drug belonging to the nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) class. It is used in the treatment of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). HIV-1 is a virus that targets immune system cells, progressively weakening the body's defence against infections. Without treatment, it can be fatal. While this medication does not provide a cure, it reduces viral levels in the body and increases CD4 cell count in the bloodstream. CD4 cells are essential for assisting the body's immune response to infections. Do not take A Bec 300mg Tablet if you are allergic to Abacavir, Trizivir, Triumeq, Kivexa, or any of its ingredients. Before commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, hepatitis B or C infection, or kidney problems. Notify your doctor if you are significantly overweight, particularly if you are a woman. This medicine may increase the risk of heart attack; inform your doctor if you have heart disease, smoke, or have other conditions that increase cardiovascular risk, such as high blood pressure or diabetes. Report any symptoms of joint pain, stiffness, and bone problems whilst taking this medicine.
