Product Introduction

Abritiga 250mg Tablet contains abiraterone acetate. It is indicated for adult men with prostate cancer that has metastasised to other sites of the body. Treatment is typically accompanied by steroid medication to reduce the incidence of adverse effects. When prescribed for early-stage disease, Abritiga 250mg Tablet is used concurrently with testosterone-lowering therapy. This medicine is not suitable for women or children. Effective contraception must be maintained throughout treatment. This medicine contains lactose and sodium; inform your doctor if you have lactose intolerance or follow a sodium-restricted diet. Notify your doctor if you have liver disease, hypertension, cardiac disorders, hypokalaemia, diabetes, allergic conditions, or other medical conditions. Disclose all medications you are taking, including supplements and herbal products, before commencing treatment with this medicine. The most frequently reported adverse effects are peripheral oedema, hypertension, and diarrhoea. Anaemia and reduced libido may also occur with Abritiga 250mg Tablet. This medicine should not be taken concurrently with radium-223 dichloride, which is used to treat prostate cancer.

How it works

Abritiga 250mg Tablet works by inhibiting the production of hormone testosterone in the body. This can slow the growth of prostate cancer.

How to Use

Abritiga 250mg Tablet medicine should always be consumed as per the direction of your physician or pharmacist. The drug should be taken by mouth. It should not be taken with food. Swallow the tablets whole with water without breaking them. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication and must not be eaten for at least 1 hour after taking the medicine. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not touch this medication without gloves.

Side Effects

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medical treatment. Although all medicines can cause side effects, everyone will not get them. Serious: Low blood potassium levels (muscle weakness, muscle twitches, or pounding heartbeat) Common Fluid in legs or feet Low blood potassium High blood pressure Urinary tract infection Diarrhea High-fat levels in the blood Chest pain Irregular heartbeat Rapid heart rate Bone fracture Indigestion Blood in urine Rash

Expert Tips

Inform the doctor if the patient has any liver problems, blood pressure, heart disorders, diabetes and medication taken for different medical conditions before taking Abritiga 250mg Tablet. The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. This medication should be taken orally in an empty stomach. It should not be taken with food and swallow the tablet as a whole with water without breaking them. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication and the patient is advised to eat after 1hr after consuming the medication. Blood pressure, potassium levels, liver function tests should be monitored regularly while taking this medication.
