Product Introduction
Acoticyt 150mg Injection is an alkylating agent anti-cancer medicine containing Carboplatin as its active ingredient. It is used to treat certain types of ovarian and lung cancer, either as monotherapy or in combination with other medications.
Patients should be alert to symptoms of allergic reactions, abnormal bruising, kidney problems (haemolytic-uraemic syndrome), and decreases in red blood cells (anaemia). Lung-related symptoms during treatment warrant immediate reporting to the prescribing doctor, including shortness of breath, lung tissue inflammation, or lung infection.
Effective contraception is required during treatment with Acoticyt 150mg Injection and should continue for six months following the final dose. The medication may reduce fertility temporarily or permanently in both men and women. Patients with concerns regarding fertility should discuss these with their doctor prior to and during treatment.
