Adgef 250mg Tablet

Adgef 250mg Tablet is an antineoplastic agent belonging to the tyrosine kinase inhibitor class, containing the active ingredient gefitinib. It is indicated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, a disorder characterised by uncontrolled and abnormal cell multiplication in lung tissues. The medication is used in patients with NSCLC that has metastasised to other sites of the body, who harbour certain types of abnormal epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) genes, and patients who have not undergone prior cancer treatment. Some formulations of gefitinib may contain lactose as an inactive ingredient; in patients unable to digest lactose, a sugar present in milk and dairy products, this may cause symptoms including bloating and abdominal pain. Patients with lactose intolerance should inform their doctor before initiating this therapy. Notify your healthcare provider if you have kidney disease, liver disease, vision disturbances, pulmonary complications, or are taking anticoagulants such as warfarin. Your healthcare provider will conduct regular blood tests to prevent complications. Alcohol consumption should be avoided as it may cause dizziness.

Gefitinib is available as a tablet to be taken with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider. The usual recommended dosage is 250 mg tablet once daily. Avoid crushing, opening, or dissolving the tablet; swallow it whole with a glass of water. Take the Adgef 250mg Tablet at the same time every day.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Common: diarrhea nausea vomiting loss of appetite weakness red or sore mouth increased liver enzymes itchy or cracked skin dry mouth red or itchy eyes nail problems hair loss fever blood in the urine and burning sensation while urinating

Adgef 250mg Tablet is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18. It is advisable to monitor your blood pressure regularly during this treatment. Antacids should not be used two hours before or one hour after taking this tablet. Avoid driving and operating heavy machinery if you feel tired or weak during this treatment.
