Adlinod 25mg Capsule

Adlinod 25mg Capsule belongs to the group of immunomodulatory agents and contains the active ingredient Lenalidomide. It is indicated for the treatment of adults with multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma refers to malignant proliferation of plasma cells predominantly in the bone marrow. These cells accumulate in the bone marrow and divide uncontrollably. This type of cancer cannot be cured; however, symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic Syndrome is a group of blood and bone marrow disorders where blood cells become abnormal and do not function properly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common cancer affecting the lymph nodes. Follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer affecting B cells. Common side effects associated with Adlinod 25mg Capsule include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headache, back pain, breathlessness, rashes, and thyroid and skin problems. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects are bothersome or persistent. Inform your doctor if you have allergic reactions to Adlinod 25mg Capsule or its ingredients. Before starting treatment with this medication, inform your physician if you have ever had blood clots, heart attack, or if you smoke or have high blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Inform your physician if you have viral infections such as hepatitis B infection, varicella zoster, or HIV. Your healthcare provider will conduct regular blood tests before and during treatment with this medication as it may cause a decrease in blood cells. It is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.

Adlinod 25mg Capsule activates T cells and natural killer cells of the immune system and facilitates the attack on cancer cells. It works by antagonizing the growth of blood vessels in the cancer cells and delays the development of cancer cells. It inhibits growth and multiplication of tumor cells.

Swallow the capsule whole with water. This capsule shall be consumed with or without food. Avoid crushing, chewing or breaking them.

Side Effects: Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Male patients are advised to use effective contraception (condom) during treatment with Adlinod 25mg Capsule and for 7 days at the end of the treatment even though if you have undergone vasectomy. They should not donate sperm because this medication is present in the semen. It is advised not to donate blood during therapy and for at least 7 days after treatment.
