Product Introduction
Admide 50mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Bicalutamide. It is indicated for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. It belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-androgens. It is prescribed in combination with a Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone (LHRH) analog or following surgical removal of the testicles. It forms part of androgen deprivation therapy, which combines radiation, surgical and hormonal approaches in high-risk patients. Androgen deprivation therapy reduces testosterone levels substantially. As prostate cancer is sensitive to androgen, this treatment is designed to target both the source and effects of androgen. Inform your physician immediately if you experience side effects including blood in urine or severe allergic reactions during this treatment.
