Product Introduction

Adrisome 20mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing doxorubicin encapsulated within a closed lipid sphere (liposome). Cancer is characterised by uncontrolled and abnormal cell multiplication. This medication is indicated for patients with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma (cancer of white blood cells known as plasma cells), and AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Patients with HIV infection face the highest risk of developing Kaposi's sarcoma, a cancer that forms in the lining of lymph and blood vessels. Adrisome 20mg Injection may be administered as monotherapy or in combination with other anticancer medicines. This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children. Effective contraception should be used during treatment and for at least six months following the final dose. It is important to inform your doctor if you have allergies to peanuts or soya, if you are receiving medications for cardiac or hepatic disorders, if you have diabetes, Kaposi's sarcoma, or if you have pre-existing oral problems before commencing Adrisome 20mg Injection.

How it works

Doxorubicin inhibits the activity of the enzyme topoisomerase II, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. The unique formulation process of Adrisome 20mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.

How to Use

Your dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your physician based on your disease condition and other factors. It will be given to you by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
