Product Introduction

Albutas 20% Injection contains human albumin as the active constituent. It is a liquid albumin preparation derived from human plasma, administered to replace lost blood or body fluids in conditions such as excessive bleeding, surgery, or kidney dialysis. It restores and maintains blood volume in both adults and children. Albumin is a protein that maintains osmotic pressure between blood vessels and tissue, regulating fluid balance. Volume deficiencies occur during medical conditions or treatments including surgery, shock, severe trauma, liver failure, dialysis, and burn therapy. This medicine addresses such deficiencies. However, as this drug is derived from human plasma, patients receiving frequent infusions face an increased risk of viral infections. To reduce this risk, your doctor may administer Hepatitis A and B vaccines before starting the infusion to protect against these specific viral infections. Before receiving this injection, inform your physician if you have hypertension, severe anaemia, heart disease, lung inflammation, or breathing difficulty. Do not receive this drug if you are allergic to Albutas 20% Injection or have experienced previous allergic reactions to it. During treatment with Albutas 20% Injection, blood pressure monitoring and regular blood tests are necessary. Your physician will monitor your electrolyte levels to assess blood circulatory function. Your doctor will closely track your urine output, pulse rate, blood pressure, and haemoglobin levels throughout treatment. If you suspect you might be pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor before receiving this drug.

How it works

Human Albumin is a protein found in the blood. The liver produces albumin and plays a major role in maintaining the oncotic pressure and transporting various substances in the bloodstream. When there is excessive bleeding, significant fluid loss, or during certain medical procedures like surgery or kidney dialysis, the body may require additional albumin to replenish the lost blood or body fluids. This medicine is administered in such cases to restore and maintain the blood volume and help improve the patient's condition.

How to Use

Albutas 20% Injection is usually administered through a vein (intravenously) by your physician in a hospital setting. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.
