Alrubicin 100mg Injection

Alrubicin 100mg injection contains epirubicin hydrochloride, an antineoplastic agent belonging to the anthracycline class. It is used as adjuvant therapy in combination with other medications for patients with breast cancer who have undergone surgical tumour removal. This medicine is also indicated in patients with cancers of the breast, ovaries, stomach, bowel, and lung. Additionally, it is used in patients with cancers of blood-forming tissues, including malignant lymphomas, leukaemias, and multiple myeloma. Do not use this injection if you are allergic to epirubicin hydrochloride or any other ingredients in this medicine, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have severe liver and bladder dysfunction. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, have received recent vaccination, or have any acute toxicities such as acute oral inflammation, low white blood cell count, low platelet count, or active infections. This medicine may increase the risk of blood clots. This medicine may cause infertility in both men and women; inform your doctor if you are planning pregnancy. If you are sexually active, use effective contraception to prevent pregnancy. Your doctor will conduct regular laboratory tests to monitor the effects of this medicine. Common side effects of Alrubicin 100mg injection include decreased white blood cell count, decreased platelets, irregular menstruation, weakness, nausea or vomiting, diarrhoea, eye infection, skin rashes, or itching.

Alrubicin 100mg injection inhibits DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis by exerting cytotoxic activity. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of the cancer cells. This medicine helps to selectively kill cancer cells rather than normal, healthy cells.

It should only be administered by a trained doctor or nurse experienced in giving chemotherapy. The medicine will be given as an infusion into a vein. Do not self-administer the injection. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity and other factors.

Inform your physician if you are receiving radiation therapy with this medicine. This medicine may cause birth defects if either partner uses it during conception or pregnancy. Male patients with female partners of reproductive potential should use effective birth control during the treatment and for 3 months after the last dose. Do not breastfeed during the treatment and for 7 days after the last dose. The medicine may turn your urine red for 1 or 2 days after your treatment.
