Altraz 1mg Tablet

Altraz 1mg Tablet contains Anastrozole, an anticancer medication belonging to the aromatase inhibitor class. It is indicated for the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Aromatase inhibitors function by reducing estrogen levels through inhibition of the enzyme in adipose tissue responsible for converting other hormones to estrogen. This medication is used to delay recurrence of early-stage breast cancer.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever, itching, joint inflammation (arthritis), bone loss (osteoporosis), vaginal bleeding, hypersensitivity reactions, and joint, abdominal, and kidney pain.

Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to Anastrozole or any of its ingredients prior to commencing treatment. Advise your doctor if you are still menstruating and have not yet reached menopause, if you have osteoporosis, or if you have liver or kidney impairment. If you have lactose intolerance, discuss this with your doctor before taking this medication. This medicine must not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
