Amlodac 5mg Tablet

Amlodac 5mg tablet is an antianginal agent containing Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and a rare form of angina (prinzmetal or variant angina). In hypertension, this medicine relaxes blood vessels to allow blood to pass smoothly. In angina, it improves blood supply to prevent chest pain.

This medicine is not recommended in children under 6 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been established. Do not use Amlodac 5mg tablet if you are allergic to Amlodipine or any other ingredient in the formulation. Avoid this medicine if you have severely low blood pressure, certain heart conditions (aortic valve stenosis or cardiogenic shock), or heart failure following myocardial infarction.

Before commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have hepatic impairment, recent myocardial infarction, heart failure, or elevated blood pressure. Inform your doctor if you are elderly or require dose adjustment. Notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, suspect you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. In adolescents and children aged 6–17 years, this medicine should be used only for hypertension. Avoid consumption of grapefruit juice or grapefruit while taking this tablet.
