Product Introduction
Amlodac M tablet is an antihypertensive agent containing two active substances: amlodipine and metoprolol. Amlodipine belongs to the group of medications called calcium channel blockers. Metoprolol belongs to the class of medications called beta-blockers. This fixed-dose combination is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is also used for angina, abnormal heart rhythms, and chronic heart failure.
Do not take Amlodac M tablet if you are allergic to amlodipine, metoprolol, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you have severe asthma or severe episodes of wheezing. Do not use this medicine if you have serious heart or blood vessel disorder, low blood pressure, if your high blood pressure is due to a tumour near your kidney, or if you have metabolic acidosis.
Inform your physician if you have recently had a heart attack or are currently suffering from a heart attack, severe elevation in blood pressure, liver disease, lung disease, diabetes, or psoriasis before starting therapy. Inform your physician if you will undergo any surgery or dental procedures while taking this medicine. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during treatment.

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, whereas metoprolol is a beta blocker that works particularly on the heart to slow it down. They work together to improve the heart's efficiency in pumping blood throughout the body.
How to Use

Take the tablet at the same time every day, with or without food. Swallow the tablets with a glass of water. Do not break, crush, or chew the tablets.

Expert Tips
If you forgot to take the tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, skip the missed dose if it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice. It is suggested to monitor your blood pressure regularly to prevent hypotension. You may also need regular eye examinations. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly. Your doctor may suggest you to take certain tests to monitor the effectiveness and side effects of the therapy.
