Product Introduction

Anasted 1mg Tablet is an anticancer medication containing Anastrozole. It is classified as an aromatase inhibitor and is indicated for treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Aromatase inhibitors work by reducing oestrogen levels through inhibition of the enzyme in adipose tissue responsible for converting other hormones into oestrogen. This medication is used to delay recurrence of early-stage breast cancer.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever, itching, joint inflammation (arthritis), bone loss (osteoporosis), vaginal bleeding, hypersensitivity reactions, and pain in the joints, stomach, and kidneys.

Inform your doctor if you have an allergy to Anastrozole or any of its ingredients before beginning treatment. Notify your doctor if you are still menstruating and have not yet reached menopause, have osteoporosis, or have any liver or kidney problems. If you have lactose intolerance, inform your doctor prior to taking this medication. Do not use this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
