Product Introduction
Androtas Gel 5gm is an androgen-class hormonal medication containing testosterone as its active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of male hypogonadism in adult males with testosterone deficiency or absence, which can be confirmed through blood testosterone level monitoring and clinical symptoms including impotence, infertility, reduced libido, fatigue, depression, and bone loss.
Patients with known allergy to testosterone or soy should inform their doctor before using this medication. Men with prostate cancer or breast cancer are contraindicated and should exercise caution before administration, as the drug is not suitable for these conditions. Patients with cardiac disorders or hypertension should notify their doctor prior to use.
The medication is not recommended for women, particularly those who are pregnant, as Androtas Gel 5gm may cause virilization of a female fetus during pregnancy. The safety and efficacy of this drug have not been established in paediatric males or adult males with age-related hypogonadism.
Inform your doctor if you have risk factors for thrombosis, family history of venous thromboembolism, pre-existing blood clots, smoking history, obesity, or cancer.
Uses
Primary hypogonadism (testicular failure) Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (problem in the pituitary gland or hypothalamus)
How it works
Androtas Gel 5gm binds to the cytoplasmic androgen receptor; these receptor hormone complexes get transported to the nucleus for binding with DNA. This process leads to the expression of specific genes responsible for the development and maintenance of male sexual characteristics and other androgenic effects.
