Product Introduction

Anivance Injection is an antifungal medication belonging to the class of fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitors. It contains the active ingredient anidulafungin and is prescribed for certain invasive fungal infections. It is effective against various forms of invasive candidiasis, including candidemia (Candida infection in the bloodstream) and oesophageal candidiasis (fungal infection of the oesophagus). These infections occur when Candida yeasts spread into the bloodstream or internal organs, leading to serious systemic illness.

Anivance Injection is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to this medication or its components. If liver problems develop during treatment, your doctor may monitor liver function more closely, as the medicine is primarily metabolised in the liver. This monitoring is particularly important for patients with existing liver conditions.

Inform your physician, including your anesthesiologist, about Anivance Injection before any surgery or anaesthesia, as certain anaesthetic agents may interact with this drug. If you experience shortness of breath, breathing difficulties, dizziness, or lightheadedness during treatment, contact your physician immediately.

Due to limited safety data, this medication is not recommended during pregnancy. Women of childbearing age must use effective contraception throughout treatment. The safety of Anivance Injection in breastfeeding women is also unknown, so medical advice is essential before use.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage based on the severity of the infection, treatment response, and overall health condition.

Uses

Anivance Injection uses are Treatment of invasive candidiasis (fungal bloodstream infections) Management of oesophageal candidiasis (fungal infection of the oesophagus) Effective against Candida species, including fluconazole-resistant strains Used in hospitalised patients with severe fungal infections Helps in immunocompromised patients (e.g., cancer, organ transplant recipients)

How it works

Anivance Injection (Anidulafungin) is an antifungal medication used to treat invasive candidiasis and oesophageal candidiasis. It works by inhibiting fungal cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of Candida species, including fluconazole-resistant strains. This injection is particularly beneficial for immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing chemotherapy or organ transplants, as it helps control severe fungal infections. By reducing symptoms like fever, chills, and organ dysfunction, Eraxis promotes faster recovery and lowers the risk of complications. Its broad-spectrum antifungal action makes it a crucial treatment option for systemic fungal infections.
