Avanair 100mg Tablets are phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors containing the active ingredient Avanafil. The medication is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), which is the inability to maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance.

Do not use this medicine if you have a known allergy to Avanafil or any component of the tablet. This medication is intended for adult men only; it should not be used by children or women.

Priapism, a prolonged erection lasting longer than four hours, has been associated with this drug. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience such an erection, as untreated priapism can cause permanent damage to penile tissue and result in permanent erectile dysfunction.

Before taking Avanair 100mg Tablet, inform your physician if you have serious bleeding disorders or are currently undergoing treatment for an ulcer. This drug may increase the risk of bleeding disorders and peptic ulcer in the stomach or duodenum.

The medication can cause a sudden decrease in blood pressure. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disorders, low blood pressure, chest pain, or other cardiovascular conditions.

Sudden vision or hearing loss has been reported rarely with Avanair 100mg Tablet. Discontinue the drug immediately if you experience sudden changes in vision or hearing.

Concurrent consumption of grapefruit juice or alcohol while taking this tablet may increase the risk of adverse effects. It is advisable to limit or avoid alcohol and grapefruit juice during treatment with this medication.

Treatment of Erectile dysfunction

Avanair 100mg Tablet works by inhibiting the action of the enzyme PDE5, which is responsible for the degradation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). By blocking PDE5, Avanafil helps to increase the levels of cGMP, which promotes relaxation of the smooth muscles in the penile region and improves blood flow, leading to an erection.

It is an orally available prescription drug. Your doctor will decide the duration and dose of the drug based on the disease condition and other factors. Always take an Avanair 100mg Tablet 30 minutes before sexual activity. Do not open, break, chew, or crush the tablet. Swallow the whole tablet with water.
