Product Introduction

Avantaz 1mg Tablet contains Anastrozole, an anticancer drug belonging to the class of aromatase inhibitors. It is indicated for treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Aromatase inhibitors work by reducing estrogen levels through inhibition of an enzyme in adipose tissue that converts other hormones into estrogen. This medication is used to delay recurrence of early-stage breast cancer.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever, itching, joint inflammation (arthritis), bone loss (osteoporosis), vaginal bleeding, hypersensitivity reactions, and joint, stomach, and kidney pain.

Inform your doctor if you have hypersensitivity to Anastrozole or any ingredient in this formulation. Advise your doctor if you are still menstruating and have not yet reached menopause, have osteoporosis, or have liver or kidney problems. If you have lactose intolerance, inform your doctor before taking this medicine. Do not use this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
