Product Introduction

Ayebac 2gm/0.5gm Injection (also available as Ayebac Solution for Infusion) is a powerful antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections. It contains a combination of two active ingredients: Ceftazidime, a third-generation cephalosporin, and Avibactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Ayebac injection uses bacteria and is commonly prescribed for pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, and intra-abdominal infections. Before using Ayebac injection, inform your doctor if you are allergic to cephalosporins or other antibiotic groups. This medicine may cause fits or seizure-like symptoms if overdosed, especially in those with a history of epilepsy or seizures. It can also lead to antibiotic-associated diarrhea, which may range from mild to severe. If you experience severe diarrhea during or after treatment, contact your physician immediately. Patients with kidney problems may need dose adjustments, and kidney function must be monitored closely during treatment.

Uses

Pneumonia Urinary tract infections Abdominal infections

How it works

Ceftazidime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Avibactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Avibactam helps protect Ceftazidime from being degraded by beta-lactamase enzymes, allowing the antibiotic to kill the bacteria effectively.
