Product Introduction

Azolyst 50mg Tablet contains Azathioprine, an immunosuppressive medicine. It is prescribed for managing autoimmune diseases and preventing organ rejection after transplantation. This tablet reduces joint inflammation and pain in rheumatoid arthritis. Inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are conditions where this medication controls immune-driven gut inflammation. Azolyst 50mg Tablet is also used in patients with lupus when other treatments do not adequately control the disease. Since Azolyst 50mg Tablet suppresses the immune system, it increases vulnerability to infections. It may cause blood-related problems and hypersensitivity reactions; regular medical supervision and monitoring are essential during use. Azolyst 50mg Tablet price varies by supplier and location. Azolyst tablet substitutes in India include other brands containing azathioprine, such as Imuran and Azoran.

How it works

Once consumed, Azolyst 50mg Tablet gets converted in the body to 6-mercaptopurine, an active form that blocks the production of DNA and RNA in rapidly dividing cells, including immune cells. This process slows down the immune system's overactive response, easing inflammation and preventing the immune system from attacking healthy tissues or rejecting transplanted organs.
