Product Introduction

Bandrone 6mg injection is a bisphosphonate containing ibandronic acid. It is used primarily in treating osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Osteoporosis develops commonly in postmenopausal women due to depletion of the estrogen hormone. This medicine may reverse bone loss and reduce the risk of fractures.

Do not use this injection if you are allergic to ibandronic acid or any other ingredient.

Inform your doctor if you have difficulty sitting or standing upright for at least one hour at a time, or if you have a history of low blood calcium levels.

Before starting treatment with Bandrone 6mg, tell your doctor if you have any mouth or teeth problems such as gum disease, poor dental health, planned tooth extraction, or have not received routine dental care for a prolonged period. Report to your doctor if you are a smoker, as this may increase the risk of dental complications.

Notify your doctor if you have any history of cancer, previous treatment with bisphosphonates (used to treat or prevent bone disorders), or are taking corticosteroids such as prednisolone or dexamethasone.

Inform your doctor if you have problems with the oesophagus, stomach disorders, kidney disease, or are planning to undergo dental surgery.

This injection contains lactose. Discuss with your doctor if you have intolerance to sugars.
