Product Introduction
Bazdaca ML 500mg Injection is an antineoplastic drug belonging to the class of alkylating agents and contains the active ingredient Dacarbazine. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of metastatic malignant melanoma and Hodgkin's disease. It is often used in combination with cisplatin, a cytotoxic agent, for treatment of certain cancers including Hodgkin's lymphoma, and with temozolomide for melanoma treatment. Use of this medicine may be associated with an increased risk of non-melanoma skin cancer.
This drug is contraindicated in pregnant women. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months after completion of therapy. It is not established whether Bazdaca ML 500mg Injection is excreted in human milk; breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment. Use with caution in patients with pre-existing liver or kidney dysfunction.
Live vaccines should not be administered during Bazdaca ML 500mg Injection therapy, as the drug may suppress immune function and increase the risk of serious infection. Bazdaca ML 500mg Injection may cause pain along the vein during infusion. Should pain occur, inform your nurse immediately so the infusion site can be assessed. The infusion rate may be reduced or the site flushed with additional fluids to minimise discomfort. Treatment should not be initiated if white blood cell counts fall below determined threshold levels. Your doctor will monitor these values at regular intervals.
This medicine should not be used if you have a known allergy to Dacarbazine. Blood tests will be performed before each administration to confirm adequate blood cell counts for safe administration. The usual dosing schedule is once every three to four weeks. Inform your physician of all medications, herbal medicines and supplements you have been taking recently prior to starting Bazdaca ML 500mg Injection.
Uses

How it works
It is a type of alkylating agent, which works majorly through the process of alkylation. It enters the cancer cells after getting activated by the liver and inhibits DNA synthesis. This process disrupts the normal cell cycle and DNA function, leading to arrest in cancer cell growth and multiplication.
How to Use
The medicine will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. This injection will be given intravenously into a vein in your arm or hand. Do not self-administer this medicine. The specific dose and schedule of administration depend on the type and stage of cancer being treated. Bazdaca ML 500mg Injection is usually given about 30 minutes before you receive your anti-cancer medicine (chemotherapy). During the infusion, you will be monitored for any side effects or reactions to the medication. It is important to get the dose at the scheduled time. If you missed the schedule, contact your doctor and reschedule the dose.
