Uses
Baztop 2mg Injection is used in the following: Treatment of multiple myeloma Treatment of mantle cell lymphoma
How it works
Baztop 2mg Injection works by exerting a toxic effect on cancer cells. It inhibits the 26S proteasome and blocks a major cell signalling pathway. This inhibition of the signalling pathway makes the cancer cells sensitive to chemotherapy. By inhibiting the proteasome, Baztop 2mg Injection disrupts the normal process of protein degradation within the cell. This leads to the accumulation of misfolded or damaged proteins, which are toxic to the cell. The accumulation of misfolded proteins triggers a series of cellular responses, including the activation of stress pathways and the induction of apoptosis. This medicine also enhances the build-up of a protein and minimises cancer cell growth and multiplication.
How to Use
Baztop 2mg Injection is administered by injection intravenously in your vein or subcutaneously under the skin. It is given in by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. The dosage and frequency of Baztop 2mg Injection will depend on various factors, including the patient's age, weight, overall health, and the type and stage of the disease being treated. It's important to follow the dosing instructions provided by a healthcare provider, and not to adjust the dosage or frequency without consulting with them first. Do not self-administer this injection. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible unless it's within 6 hours of the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped, and the regular dosing schedule should be resumed. It's important not to take a double dose of Baztop 2mg Injection to make up for a missed dose.
