Product Introduction

Bendit 100mg Injection is an antineoplastic drug classified as an alkylating agent. It contains bendamustine as its active ingredient and is indicated for the treatment and management of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (blood and bone marrow cancer), non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (lymph system cancer affecting the immune system), and multiple myelomas (plasma cell cancer, a type of white blood cell malignancy).

Common side effects associated with this medicine include headache, insomnia, fatigue, loss of appetite, and rashes. Serious side effects may include bone marrow suppression, tumour lysis syndrome, and hepatotoxicity. Inform your healthcare provider if these side effects are a concern or persist longer than expected.

This medicine is frequently combined with rituximab, an immunotherapy agent, for treatment of various non-Hodgkin's lymphoma subtypes, including follicular lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma. Use of this medicine carries an increased risk of certain non-melanoma skin cancers. Seek immediate medical advice regarding this risk.

Treatment initiation should not proceed if white blood cell (leukocyte) counts have decreased below determined threshold levels. Your doctor will monitor these values at regular intervals. This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to bendamustine or any component of the formulation.

Men considering fatherhood should discuss treatment implications with their physician, as this injection may reduce sperm production. Bendit 100mg Injection is administered as an intravenous infusion over 30-60 minutes, typically once every three to four weeks.

Inform your physician of all medications currently being taken, including herbal medicines and supplements, prior to commencing Bendit 100mg Injection.

Uses

How it works

It is a type of alkylating agent, which works by causing DNA damage and disrupting the cell cycle, leading to cancer cell death. It forms covalent bonds with DNA, inhibits DNA repair enzymes, and blocks cell cycle progression. It is used as a cytotoxic drug that kills cancer cells by inhibiting their DNA and cell cycle.

How to Use

The medicine will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. This injection will be given intravenously into a vein in your arm or hand. Do not self-administer this medicine. The dose of the injection will be decided by your doctor based on your disease condition and other factors. Bendit 100mg Injection is usually given about 30 minutes before you receive your anti-cancer medicine (chemotherapy) or right before anaesthesia for surgery. During the infusion, you will be monitored for any side effects or reactions to the medication. The infusion usually takes several hours to complete, and you may need to receive multiple infusions over the course of several weeks.
