Bharglob 16.5% Injection 2ml is an immunostimulant drug classified as an immunoglobulin derivative, containing Human Normal Immunoglobulin as the active ingredient. It is indicated as replacement therapy for patients with primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDs), in which the immune system cannot produce adequate antibodies to combat infections. The medication is also used to modulate the immune system in certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, helping to reduce excessive inflammation and suppress abnormal immune responses.

This drug is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to it or its components. Stop use and contact your doctor immediately if you develop a rash or skin symptoms. Patients with selective IgA deficiency face a risk of developing antibodies against IgA. In such cases, normal human immunoglobulin should be used with caution or avoided entirely. Inform your physician if you have a history of IgA deficiency.

Following administration of Bharglob 16.5% Injection 2ml, patients may experience a temporary decrease in white blood cell concentration, a condition termed neutropenia (low neutrophil count), which typically resolves spontaneously within a week. Normal human immunoglobulin administration may interfere with the efficacy of live attenuated vaccines. It is advisable to avoid live vaccines for a period following this drug's administration.

Overdose of Bharglob 16.5% Injection 2ml may result in fluid overload, particularly in patients with pre-existing heart failure or compromised renal function. Patients with such conditions require careful monitoring during infusion. Inform your doctor of any heart, thyroid, kidney, or liver disease. Your physician may prescribe a low dose and perform regular blood tests. Use of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be discussed with your physician.

Bharglob 16.5% Injection 2ml works by restoring the immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. It directly binds to the Fc fragment-specific receptors and acts against inflammatory mediators. It induces cell death in B and T cells, eventually reducing inflammation and the severity of infections.

Bharglob 16.5% Injection 2ml is usually administered through a vein (intravenously) by your physician in a hospital setting. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.
