Product Introduction
Bilahenz 20mg Tablet is an antihistamine containing bilastine. It is indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis (nasal inflammation resulting from immune system overreaction to airborne allergens) and chronic urticaria (persistent hives—raised, itchy skin welts arising from various causes). The medication provides relief from symptoms including sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, and rhinorrhoea.
Do not take Bilahenz 20mg Tablet if you are allergic to bilastine or any other ingredient in the formulation. Exercise caution if you have moderate or severe renal impairment and are concurrently taking other medications; medical advice should be sought prior to use. This tablet is not indicated for children under 12 years of age.
Limited data exists regarding use of this medicine in pregnant women, during breastfeeding, and regarding effects on fertility. Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, suspect pregnancy, or are planning conception should seek medical advice before taking this medication.

How it works
Bilahenz 20mg Tablet works by selectively blocking H1 histamine receptors in the body, which effectively prevents histamine from binding to these receptors. By doing so, this drug reduces or prevents the allergic reactions triggered by histamine release, leading to relief from allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itching, and watery eyes.
How to Use
Take the Bilahenz 20mg Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.
