Product Introduction
Bilypsa tablet is an antidiabetic drug containing the active ingredient Saroglitazar. It belongs to the medication class of dual peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonists. It is indicated for the treatment of diabetic dyslipidemia (abnormal lipid levels in blood) and hypertriglyceridemia (elevated triglyceride levels in blood) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus inadequately controlled by statin therapy. Bilypsa tablet should not be used if you have an allergy to Saroglitazar or any other ingredient in the formulation. Prior to commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have hepatic or renal impairment or a previous history of muscle disorders. This medicine has not been evaluated in patients with severe heart failure; caution is advised in those with cardiac disease. Although weight gain and oedema are uncommon, rapid weight gain warrants monitoring for signs of swelling and heart failure. Safety and efficacy of Bilypsa tablet have not been established in the paediatric population. Before initiating treatment, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, are planning pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.
