Product Introduction

Bio Profil AB 2.5ml is a topical formulation designed to support wound healing whilst providing antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action. This combination therapy contains three active constituents: Collagen, a natural protein that supports tissue regeneration; Mupirocin, a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth; and Metronidazole, an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent effective against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. Together, they function as wound healing agents, topical antibiotics, and anti-infective agents. The formulation is used in the management of infected wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and post-surgical sites, promoting faster recovery whilst reducing the risk of secondary infections. Avoid use on extensive areas of damaged skin or mucous membranes unless directed by a healthcare provider. The product is generally well-tolerated but may cause mild local irritation in some individuals. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components. Pregnant and lactating women should consult a healthcare professional before use.

Uses

Bio Profil AB 2.5ml used for. Treatment of impetigo and secondary skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Management of inflammatory lesions associated with rosacea. Support in healing chronic wounds, ulcers, and pressure sores. Prevention of infection in minor cuts, abrasions, and surgical wounds. Reduction of localised inflammation and microbial load in skin injuries.

How it works

This formulation works by combining three powerful agents that each play a unique role in healing. One ingredient helps the skin rebuild itself by creating a natural base for new tissue to grow. Another fights off bacteria that commonly infect wounds, stopping them from spreading or getting worse. The third helps reduce redness, swelling, and infection caused by bacteria that don’t need oxygen to survive. Together, they clean the wound, reduce harmful microbes, and support faster recovery. The combination not only protects the affected area but also helps relieve pain, irritation, and the risk of scarring. It’s especially useful for treating infected wounds, ulcers, and cuts that are slow to heal. This triple-action approach ensures both protection and healing, making it an effective choice for wound care and skin infections.

How to Use

This medication is recommended for external use only. A thin layer should be applied to the affected area once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. Before application, ensure the skin is clean and dry. The cream should be gently applied—do not rub it in forcefully; allow it to absorb naturally into the skin. As this is a topical treatment, there is no connection with food intake. Avoid covering the treated area with tight bandages unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.

Side Effects

Common Side Effects: Mild burning or stinging sensation at the application site Itching or redness of the skin Dryness or peeling in the treated area Temporary skin discolouration Tingling or slight irritation Serious Side Effects: Persistent skin rash or blistering Severe itching or swelling beyond the application site Signs of an allergic reaction such as hives or difficulty breathing Unusual fatigue or dizziness after application Secondary infection (worsening redness, pus, or pain at the site)

Expert Tips

For best results, apply Bio Profil AB 2.5ml exactly as prescribed and avoid using it on unaffected areas. Do not share the product with others, even if their symptoms appear similar. Avoid using cosmetics or other skin products on the treated area unless recommended by a healthcare provider. If you're using other topical medications, allow enough time between applications to prevent interaction. Always perform a patch test before first use if you have sensitive skin. Keep the affected area clean and avoid scratching or exposing it to irritants. If no improvement is seen within the prescribed period, seek medical advice for further evaluation.
