Product Introduction

Bonspark PEN is a reusable injection device designed for use with Bonspark (Teriparatide) cartridges. Teriparatide is a synthetic version of the body's natural parathyroid hormone that supports bone formation. The pen enables patients to self-administer injections at home, typically once daily. It delivers accurate dosing and improves convenience for patients receiving prolonged osteoporosis treatment. The Bonspark PEN does not contain medication and must be used with a Bonspark Teriparatide cartridge as prescribed by your doctor.

Uses

The Bonspark PEN is intended for delivering Teriparatide in patients diagnosed with: Postmenopausal osteoporosis Osteoporosis in men Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis Multiple fragility fractures due to weak bones It is a supportive device that enables self-injection of Teriparatide at home under your doctor’s guidance.

How it works

The Bonspark PEN is a user-friendly device that helps you inject your daily dose of Teriparatide just under your skin (subcutaneous injection). Once the cartridge is loaded, you can: Set the exact dose Inject the medicine easily, usually in your thigh or abdomen Use it daily without needing to visit a clinic This ensures you get the right amount of medicine each day, which is essential for improving bone strength and reducing the risk of fractures.

Side Effects

While the Bonspark PEN itself does not cause side effects, the medicine used with it (Teriparatide) may lead to: Common Side Effects: Nausea Dizziness or lightheadedness Headache Muscle cramps Joint pain Pain at the injection site Serious Side Effects (rare): High calcium levels (hypercalcemia) – may cause fatigue, nausea, or weakness Orthostatic hypotension – feeling faint when standing up Osteosarcoma – a rare type of bone cancer (very rare, mainly observed in animal studies)
