Product Introduction

CA Retrans 10mg Capsule is an antineoplastic medication containing the active ingredient Tretinoin. It belongs to the retinoid class of drugs, which are similar to vitamin A. The medication is indicated for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukaemia, where it acts to slow the growth of abnormal blood cells.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Tretinoin or any other component of the formulation. Avoid concurrent use with vitamin A, tetracyclines, or other retinoids such as Isotretinoin, Acitretin, or Tazarotene. This medicine contains soya bean oil; patients with peanut or soya allergy should avoid this medication.

Inform your doctor if you have existing health conditions or a history of mental health concerns including depression, mood changes, or aggressive behaviour, as this medicine may affect mood stability. Patients planning pregnancy, those who are pregnant, or those who are breastfeeding must discuss use with their healthcare professional before starting treatment. Effective contraception is essential; pregnancy should be avoided even for one month after discontinuing this medicine.

Notify your healthcare provider if you have an allergy or intolerance to sugars, as this formulation contains sorbitol. Limited safety and efficacy data are available for paediatric use; consult your doctor for guidance in children.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience side effects including fever, chest or back pain, or difficulty breathing.

How it works

CA Retrans 10mg capsule binds to the fusion protein and breaks down the protein, making the immature blood cells differentiate into mature white blood cells (WBC). This helps restore normal blood cell production and reduces the number of abnormal cells present in blood and bone marrow.

How to Use

Take CA Retrans 10mg capsule as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking CA Retrans 10mg capsule if your doctor advises you to stop.

Side Effects

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Even though you didn't notice a change in your mood and, behavior, it is advised you inform your friends and family that this medicine could affect your mood and behavior. Discuss with your doctor about effective contraception methods to avoid getting pregnant. Women should take pregnancy tests every four months while under treatment. Notify your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while under treatment; your doctor will provide you with the right treatment. Do not consume other medications unless your doctor prescribes them.

Lungs: Consult your doctor It is unknown whether CA Retrans 10mg capsule is safe for patients with lung problems. Inform your physician if you have any lung disease before starting the treatment. Contact your doctor if you experience difficulty in breathing or any lung-related symptoms.

Breastfeeding: unsafe Taking CA Retrans 10mg capsule while breastfeeding may be unsafe because it may affect the child. Do not breastfeed for at least four months after the treatment. Therefore, talk with your doctor to get more information.
