Product Introduction

Cabaza 400mg tablet contains pentoxifylline as its active component. It belongs to a class of drugs known as xanthine derivatives or haemorrheologic agents. It improves blood flow by reducing blood viscosity and improving the flexibility of red blood cells. This medication is primarily used to treat peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a condition characterised by reduced blood flow to the limbs, usually the legs, due to narrowed arteries. It helps relieve symptoms associated with PAD, such as leg pain and cramping during physical activity (intermittent claudication). This medication also helps treat chronic venous insufficiency and certain skin conditions. Patients who are hypersensitive or allergic to pentoxifylline or to any component of this tablet should not take this medication. Inform your doctor about your allergies before taking this medication. Patients with active bleeding disorders, recent bleeding, haemorrhagic stroke, or any condition that increases the risk of bleeding should not take this medication. It should not be used immediately before or after major surgical procedures. Patients with recent cerebral or retinal haemorrhage should also not use this medication. Inform your doctor about any pre-existing kidney conditions or if you are taking other medications that might affect kidney function. Cabaza 400mg tablet is generally not recommended for children, as its safety and effectiveness in paediatric populations have not been well studied. Older patients require close monitoring by a healthcare provider while taking this medication.
