Product Introduction
Cabotriq 40mg Tablet is an antineoplastic medicine containing cabozantinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor indicated in adults for treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma, locally advanced or metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with prior sorafenib therapy, with use in renal cell carcinoma often in combination with nivolumab. The mechanism of action involves blocking tyrosine kinase signalling pathways that support cancer cell survival and tumour progression. Dosage is individualised by the treating physician based on disease status and patient tolerance, with 20mg and 40mg strengths available for dose adjustment. Pricing of Cabotriq 40mg Tablet in India varies by pharmacy and stock availability. Common adverse effects include diarrhoea, hypertension, fatigue, and oral mucositis, necessitating regular medical supervision during therapy. The medicine is contraindicated in patients aged under 18 years, in pregnancy, and in patients without reliable contraceptive measures. Patients must disclose to their doctor any history of hepatic impairment, cardiac disease, thyroid disorders, recent surgical procedures, or lactose intolerance prior to initiating treatment. Consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit products should be avoided during the course of therapy.
