Product Introduction
Calci contains the active ingredient Calcitriol. It is used to treat various conditions related to calcium and bone metabolism. Regulation of calcium and phosphorus levels, promotion of bone health, and support of overall bodily functions are important therapeutic objectives. Calci is indicated in hypocalcaemia (low blood calcium), hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone), chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis (weakened bones), rickets, osteomalacia (softening of bones), psoriasis, and secondary hyperparathyroidism (imbalanced calcium metabolism). It may assist in managing parathyroid hormone levels and related complications. Calci may also support immune function, heart health, muscle strength, and management of certain autoimmune conditions and metabolic disorders.
Calci is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to Calcitriol or any component of the formulation. The medication should be avoided in patients with hypercalcaemia (high blood calcium levels), vitamin D toxicity, malabsorption syndromes, and elevated levels of vitamin D metabolites. Healthcare providers should be informed immediately if hypersensitivity is suspected.
In children, Calci is used for conditions such as rickets or growth-related bone disorders. In older adults, it may be used to support bone health and help prevent fractures. Dosage and monitoring in these age groups require careful management by healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective use.
