How it works

Calpol pediatric oral drops reduce fever by inhibiting the formulation and release of hormone-like substances (prostaglandins) in the CNS and by inhibiting substances like endogenous pyrogens at the hypothalamic thermoregulator centre. The analgesic activity of Calpol is by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, particularly COX-3, in the CNS.
