Product Introduction

Carbitex Hs 100mcg injection contains the active ingredient Carbetocin, which belongs to the class of oxytocin receptor agonists. It is indicated for the prevention of excessive bleeding (postpartum haemorrhage) in women following delivery. It is a synthetic nonapeptide analogue of the hormone oxytocin, which promotes contractions of the myometrium and epithelial cells in the breast. This hormone facilitates uterine contractions during labour and reduces blood loss from the placental bed following delivery. Carbitex Hs 100mcg injection should not be administered if you are pregnant, in active labour with an undelivered baby, have a known allergy to Carbetocin or any of its components, or have a history of allergy to oxytocin. Avoid this medicine if you have hepatic or renal disease, severe cardiac disease, or epilepsy. Before administering this medicine, inform your physician if you have a history of migraine, asthma, pre-eclampsia (hypertension in pregnancy), eclampsia (toxaemia of pregnancy), cardiac or circulatory disorders (including hypertension), or any other significant medical conditions.

Uses

How it works

Carbitex Hs 100mcg injection functions similarly to oxytocin hormone by binding to specific uterine muscles, inducing their contraction, and reducing bleeding by stopping uterine bleeding.
