It belongs to the category of drugs called non-steroidal anti-androgens. It is prescribed along with Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone (LHRH) analogue or surgical removal of testicles. Casodex 50mg Tablet should be taken with or without food but should be taken at a fixed time every day. The dosage of the Casodex tablets will depend on the condition of the patient. This medication should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. Do not overdose on this medication as it causes serious side effects, and this medicine has to be taken even when the patient is feeling well. It is a part of androgen deprivation therapy, a combination of radiation, surgical and hormonal therapy in high-risk patients.
