Product Introduction

Regulation of calcium and phosphorus levels, promotion of bone health, and support of overall bodily functions are important therapeutic goals. It is indicated in conditions including hypocalcaemia (low blood calcium), hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone), chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis (weakened bones), rickets, osteomalacia (softening of bones), psoriasis, and secondary hyperparathyroidism (imbalanced calcium metabolism). It can also assist in managing parathyroid hormone levels and related complications. It may provide benefit in immune function, cancer prevention, cardiovascular health, diabetes management, mood regulation, muscle strength, and autoimmune conditions. Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to calcitriol or any medication containing calcitriol should avoid this medication and inform their healthcare provider immediately. This medication should be avoided in patients with hypercalcaemia (high blood calcium levels), vitamin D toxicity, malabsorption syndromes, and elevated levels of vitamin D metabolites. In children, it is used for conditions such as rickets or growth-related issues. In older adults, it may be used to support bone health and prevent fractures. Healthcare professionals carefully manage dosage and monitoring to ensure safe and effective use in these age groups.
