Cefglobe S Forte 1.5gm Injection

Cefglobe S Forte 1.5gm injection contains two active ingredients: Cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination is effective against a wide range of bacteria and is used to treat serious infections including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, meningitis, skin infections, bone infections, and endometritis.

The injection is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Cefglobe S Forte 1.5gm injection or any of its components. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotic group.

Consumption of alcohol (including alcoholic beverages, medications containing alcohol, mouthwashes, or food preparations) during and up to the fifth day after administration can result in a disulfiram-like reaction characterised by flushing, sweating, headache, and increased heart rate. Avoid alcohol during this period.

Notify your doctor if you experience severe or bloody stools while taking this injection. Prior to treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver disorders, bowel diseases, or clotting disorders.

This medicine should be taken only if necessary during pregnancy. As this medicine passes poorly into breast milk, caution should be exercised during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for further advice.

Cefoperazone is an antibiotic that works by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of the bacteria.
