Product Introduction
Cefglobe S Forte 3gm Injection contains two active ingredients: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that helps fight bacterial infections, while Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the effectiveness of the antibiotic by preventing bacterial resistance. This combination is used to treat a variety of serious bacterial infections, including infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, abdomen, bloodstream (septicemia), brain and spinal cord (meningitis), skin, bones, and the uterus (endometritis).
This injection should not be used by individuals who are allergic to Cefoperazone, Sulbactam, or any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergy to antibiotics. Alcohol consumption should be strictly avoided during treatment and for up to five days after the last dose, as it may trigger a disulfiram-like reaction characterized by symptoms such as facial flushing, excessive sweating, headache, and rapid heartbeat.
Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience severe or bloody diarrhea while receiving this medicine. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, intestinal disorders, or bleeding and clotting problems. During pregnancy, this medicine should be used only when clearly necessary and under medical supervision. Since small amounts may pass into breast milk, breastfeeding mothers should use it cautiously and seek medical advice before treatment. Always follow your physician’s recommendations regarding the use of this medication.

How it works
Cefoperazone is an antibiotic that works by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of the bacteria. Sulbactam, the beta-lactamase inhibitor, helps inactivate the beta-lactamase enzymes produced by certain bacteria. This prevents the breakdown of cefoperazone by these enzymes, enhancing its effectiveness against resistant bacteria.
How to Use
Do not self-administer the Cefglobe S Forte 3gm injection. Your doctor will decide the duration and dose of your treatment based on the disease severity and other factors. It will be given as an intravenous infusion or intramuscular Injection, and you will be monitored carefully for unwanted side effects.
Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Common Nausea, vomiting Headache Diarrhea Allergic reactions Anemia Abnormal liver function Injection site reactions
Expert Tips
Maintaining good hand hygiene by washing your hands regularly helps to prevent the spread of infections to others. Do not skip doses or stop the medication suddenly, even if you start feeling better. Completing the full course of treatment is important to effectively treat the infection and prevent the development of antibiotic resistance.
