Product Introduction

Celestras 500IU injection is an immunomodulator containing Human C1-esterase inhibitor as its active ingredient. It belongs to the complement inhibitors medication group. C1-esterase inhibitor is a naturally occurring human protein present in blood that regulates inflammation and swelling. Deficient or non-functional C1-esterase inhibitor levels can result in angioedema (swelling) presenting with stomach pain and swelling of the hands, face, eyelids, lips, tongue, genitals, larynx, or feet. This medicine prevents hereditary angioedema in adults, adolescents, and children aged six years and above by elevating C1-esterase inhibitor concentrations in the bloodstream.

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to Human C1-esterase inhibitor or any other ingredient. Inform your doctor before treatment if you have a history of venous and arterial thromboembolic (blood clotting) conditions. Celestras 500IU injection may increase infection risk (viral) as it is derived from human blood or plasma. Notify your doctor if you are scheduled for hepatitis A or B vaccination. Inform your doctor if you have an indwelling venous catheter (a plastic tube for urine drainage from the bladder), atherosclerosis, are taking oral contraception (androgen), have morbid obesity, or have immobility due to prolonged bedrest or restricted movement. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or following a sodium-restricted diet, as this medicine contains sodium.

How it works
