Celplat 10mg Injection

Celplat 10mg Injection is an alkylating agent and antineoplastic medicine containing cisplatin as the active ingredient. It is used to treat certain cancers including testicular, ovarian, bladder, lung, cervical, and head and neck epithelial tumours, either as monotherapy or in combination with radiotherapy.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine or any of its ingredients. Notify your doctor if you have hypersensitivity reactions, myelosuppression (reduced blood cell count), or hearing difficulties. Do not use this medicine if you have recently received a live vaccine, including yellow fever vaccine. Inform your doctor if you are planning to receive any vaccination.

Notify your doctor if you experience symptoms of peripheral neuropathy or nerve damage, or if you have previously undergone radiotherapy to the head. This medicine may affect kidney, liver, and blood function. Your doctor may order regular blood tests to monitor your blood counts, kidney function, and liver function.

Both men and women are advised to use effective contraception during treatment with this medicine and continue contraception for six months after receiving the final dose. This medicine may cause permanent reduction in fertility in men. Discuss any fertility concerns with your doctor.

Celplat 10mg injection has been indicated for treating: Testicular tumor Ovarian tumor Bladder tumor Lung cancer Head and neck epithelial tumor Cervical cancer

It works by stopping the growth and division of cancer cells. It does this by binding to the DNA in the cancer cells and preventing them from replicating.

Celplat 10mg injection is administered as an intravenous infusion into the vein. If this injection is recommended for you, it will be given by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. If you experience any symptoms mentioned as a side effect, consult your doctor immediately. Notify your doctor immediately if you have undergone any radiotherapy in your head. Inform your doctor immediately if you took any live vaccines inducing yellow fever and other medications before starting with Celplat 10mg injection because it might reduce the effectiveness of this medicine and may cause side effects. Discuss your fertility problem with the doctor since, in men, this medicine can cause permanent infertility. So it is advised to get suggestions about fertility concerns. Avoid planning for the pregnancy. Inform your physician if you have pre-existing hearing conditions, blood disorders, neuropathy, or dehydration. You are recommended to drink a lot of water for 24 hours after receiving this drug to prevent or lessen kidney issues.
