Product Introduction
Celtranz 500mg Injection contains tranexamic acid, an antifibrinolytic medicine that prevents the breakdown of blood clots. It is indicated in patients with haemophilia (a disorder where blood does not clot normally) for short-term use to prevent blood loss. It is effective for preventing or managing excessive bleeding associated with fibrinolytic medications, cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, dental extraction, tonsillectomy, or prostate removal, as well as heavy menstrual bleeding in women. Do not use this medication if you are allergic to tranexamic acid or any component of Celtranz 500mg Injection. Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney problems, blood disorders, or seizures. You should also inform your physician if you have any liver disorders. Tell your physician about all medications you are taking before starting treatment.
Uses
Prevent bleeding in hemophilia patients after tooth extraction Management of gastrointestinal bleeding Managing heavy menstrual bleeding in females. Management of bleeding following surgery
How it works
Celtranz 500mg Injection acts by stopping the breakdown of blood clots. It does this by blocking the lysine binding site on a plasminogen protein. This prevents plasminogen from breaking down fibrin, a key component of blood clots, and helps to maintain clot stability. In simpler terms, it helps to keep blood clots intact and prevents excessive bleeding.
How to Use
Treatment should be started under the guidance of a healthcare provider. It will be injected directly into your veins (intravenous) by your healthcare provider. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.

Expert Tips
Patients who take this medication for an extended period may experience color vision abnormalities and other problems linked to their eyes. Thus, it is necessary for individuals receiving ongoing, long-term treatment to undergo routine ophthalmologic exams. Talking to your doctor is crucial if you have renal issues because the kidneys significantly eliminate Celtranz 500mg Injection. Dosage modifications may be necessary. Inform your physician if you have had blood in your urine, which could indicate a clot in your upper urinary tract. Blood clots are more likely to occur in women using hormonal birth control pills. Talk to your doctor about any worries you may have. Some herbal supplements may interact with this medication, particularly those with potential blood-thinning effects (e.g., ginkgo biloba, garlic, ginger). Inform your healthcare provider about the supplements you are taking.
