Product Introduction
Cibirelix 0.25mg Injection is a hormonal agent belonging to the class of gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonists. It contains the active ingredient Cetrorelix and is used to treat female infertility, defined as the inability of a woman to conceive a child or carry a pregnancy to full term. This medication helps synchronise the development of multiple follicles and ensures they can be retrieved during the IVF procedure.
Cibirelix 0.25mg Injection is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Cetrorelix or any component of the formulation. Inform your physician if you have kidney or liver problems, as special monitoring or dose adjustments may be required in these situations.
This injection is often used with other medications to stimulate the ovaries as part of fertility treatment. The primary concern with use is an increased risk of developing Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), a condition in which the ovaries become enlarged and cysts may form. Contact your physician if you experience severe pelvic pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, or sudden weight gain, as these symptoms may indicate OHSS.
Report to your physician immediately if you experience sudden life-threatening allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing or wheezing, swelling, rash, itching, fever, and chills.
Cibirelix 0.25mg Injection is not intended for use in children. Inform your physician about any other medications you use, have recently used, or may use, as they can interact with Cetrorelix. Use of this medication in pregnant and breastfeeding women is not recommended.
Uses
Female infertility
How it works
Cetrorelix works by blocking the effects of GnRH, a hormone that triggers the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). By inhibiting GnRH, this drug helps regulate ovulation timing during ART procedures.
How to Use
Cibirelix 0.25mg Injection will be given to you by a doctor or other healthcare professional. They will administer the injection in the fatty tissues just under the skin of your belly (subcutaneously). To minimize skin irritation, your physician will select a different area of your belly for each injection.
Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Serious Injection site reactions ( pain, itching) Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat Common Headache Nausea Abdominal discomfort Fatigue
Expert Tips
The process of fertility treatment can be emotionally challenging. Look for support from your partner, family, and friends groups to help you navigate any emotional ups and downs during the treatment. It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle during fertility treatment. It includes eating a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity (unless advised by your healthcare provider), managing stress levels, avoiding smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption. Store the Cibirelix 0.25mg Injection medication as per the manufacturer's instructions. Please keep it in a cool, dry place and protect it from light.
