Conditions: Hypertension

Product Introduction

Cilacar M 10 mg/50 mg tablets contain cilnidipine and metoprolol as active components. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that blocks calcium channels in blood vessels and the heart, helping to lower blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that decreases heart rate and reduces the force of contraction. Together, these medications help control high blood pressure and prevent angina, heart attack, and stroke. The combination of two medications with complementary mechanisms of action permits lower doses of each drug, which may reduce the risk of side effects associated with higher doses of a single drug. Using lower doses may diminish the likelihood of adverse effects.

Inform your doctor about any kidney or liver-related problems. If you are a breastfeeding mother or planning pregnancy, inform your doctor before starting this medication. Blood pressure should be monitored regularly while using this medication, and kidney function tests should be performed to check for any abnormal changes. Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Cilacar M 10 mg/50 mg tablets or other components of these medications should not take them. This medication should be avoided or used with extreme caution in patients with bradycardia (abnormally slow heart rate) or heart block, and in patients with heart failure, as this medication can affect cardiac function. In some cases, alternative medications may be preferred for managing hypertension in heart failure patients.
