Product Introduction
Cireta Tablet contains Calcium citrate and Vitamin D3 as active components. This medication is indicated for treatment and prevention of osteoporosis (weakened, porous bones, increased fracture risk), osteomalacia (bone softening), rickets (bone disease in children), and hypoparathyroidism (underactive parathyroid glands). It is also used in secondary hyperparathyroidism (overactive parathyroid glands due to low calcium or high phosphate levels in the blood) and pseudohypoparathyroidism (a condition in which the body is resistant to the effects of parathyroid hormone). It may also be used to prevent bone loss in older adults and to support bone health in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is used to supplement vitamin D and calcium in patients at risk of deficiency, such as those with inflammatory bowel disease or who do not receive adequate sunlight exposure.
Patients with allergy to Cireta Tablet or any of its components should not take this medication. Patients with hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels in the blood), hypervitaminosis D (excess vitamin D in the body), and hypercalciuria (high calcium levels in the urine) should not use this medication. It should not be used in patients with kidney stones. The medication is generally safe for older adults and children. However, older adults and children are at increased risk of developing hypercalcaemia, and medical consultation is advisable prior to use.
