Product Introduction
Claricap 500 Injection is a macrolide-class antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections including skin infections, respiratory tract infections, and certain stomach ulcers caused by H. pylori bacteria, which is associated with peptic ulcer disease. Patients with a history of jaundice or liver problems that occurred during previous treatment with Claricap 500 Injection or other macrolide antibiotics should inform their healthcare provider, as these patients may face increased risk of further liver complications or jaundice recurrence if exposed to the drug again. Your doctor will take this medical history into account when selecting treatment and may recommend alternative antibiotics with lower liver risk or pursue a different management approach. This drug can increase the risk of cardiac side effects, particularly by prolonging the QT interval. QT interval prolongation can lead to a serious cardiac arrhythmia known as torsades de pointes. Patients should be aware of potential side effects before taking Claricap 500 Injection and discuss these with their healthcare provider. The drug should be avoided in patients with known allergy to it or its ingredients.
Uses
Respiratory infections Skin and soft tissue infections
How it works
Clarithromycin works by inhibiting protein synthesis. This drug disrupts the production of essential proteins that bacteria need for survival and replication. It mainly leads to a decrease in bacterial growth and ultimately helps the body's immune system to eliminate the infection.
How to Use
Claricap 500 Injection will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. It is usually administered as an intravenous injection into a vein. Your physician will decide the dose, route of administration, and frequency based on your disease condition and other factors.
