Product Introduction

Cleft 10mg Tablet is an antirheumatic medication belonging to the class of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). It contains the active ingredient Leflunomide and is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the joints. It is also indicated for psoriatic arthritis, a form of inflammatory arthritis that occurs in some individuals with psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis affects the joints and may cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and reduced range of motion.

Cleft 10mg Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Leflunomide or any of its components. Before initiating treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis, skin ulcers, unexplained chronic diarrhoea, liver problems, or kidney problems. Your doctor may conduct certain diagnostic tests and prescribe a low dose if necessary.

Certain vaccinations may not be recommended during treatment with this medication, as Leflunomide can affect the immune system and may impact vaccine effectiveness or safety. This drug remains in the body for a considerable period even after discontinuation. Vaccination plans should be discussed with your doctor before starting treatment.

If you are currently experiencing a severe infection, initiation of Cleft 10mg Tablet treatment may need to be delayed or avoided until the infection has resolved.

This medication is contraindicated during pregnancy as it may cause harm to a developing fetus. Leflunomide may also be present in breast milk. Consuming alcohol while taking this medication can stress the liver and lead to liver toxicity or other complications. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment.
