Product Introduction
Cofaso-S Forte 3gm Injection is a combination antibiotic containing two active ingredients: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, while Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination is effective against a broad spectrum of bacterial infections, including those caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria. The injection is prescribed for serious infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicaemia, meningitis, skin and soft tissue infections, bone infections, and endometritis. Do not use Cofaso-S Forte 3gm Injection if you are allergic to cephalosporins, sulbactam, or similar antibiotics. Inform your doctor of any history of drug allergies before beginning treatment. Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least five days after the final dose, as concurrent use may cause a disulfiram-like reaction characterised by flushing, headache, sweating, and increased heart rate.

How it works
The Cofaso-s forte 3gm injection composition includes Cefoperazone and Sulbactam: Cefoperazone works by stopping bacteria from forming protective cell walls, leading to bacterial death. Sulbactam enhances the effect of Cefoperazone by blocking beta-lactamase enzymes that can make bacteria resistant to antibiotics. Together, they provide a broader and more effective antibacterial action.
