Product Introduction
Colospect Lemon Kit contains oral bowel preparation and sulfates. It is used to clean the bowel before a colonoscopy, a procedure that allows a doctor to examine the inside of the colon for abnormalities. Bowel cleansing ensures the doctor obtains a clear view of the colon lining. It may also be used to clean the bowel before colorectal surgery, which treats conditions of the colon or rectum. Bowel cleansing before surgery helps reduce the risk of infection. It can be used to clean the bowel before a barium meal X-ray examination, a type of X-ray using barium contrast material to visualise the digestive tract. Bowel cleansing before the X-ray helps obtain a clearer image of the digestive tract.
Colospect Lemon Kit should be avoided in patients with bowel obstruction or bowel perforation, as use can worsen the obstruction and cause serious complications. It should not be used in patients with severe heart disease, as it can place additional strain on the heart and worsen the condition. Patients with severe kidney disease should avoid it, as use can worsen kidney function and lead to kidney failure. It is generally considered safe for use in older adults, though a healthcare professional should be consulted before use, particularly if underlying medical conditions are present. Colospect Lemon Kit is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age due to insufficient safety and efficacy data in this age group.

How it works
Colospect Lemon Kit functions works by drawing water into the intestines, which softens the stool and stimulates bowel movements. This is achieved through the action of its three active ingredients. These electrolytes work together to create an osmotic gradient that causes water to move from the bloodstream into the intestines. The increased water content in the stool makes it softer and easier to pass, effectively cleansing the colon.
