Conditions: Immune Disorder

Product Introduction

Conimune ME 50mg Capsule contains Cyclosporine as its active ingredient, an immunosuppressant that helps reduce the body's immune response. It is primarily prescribed to prevent organ rejection following kidney, liver, or heart transplantation by preventing the immune system from attacking the transplanted organ. The dosage is individually determined by the doctor based on factors such as body weight, the type of transplanted organ, and the patient's response to treatment.

In addition to transplant care, Conimune ME 50mg Capsule is also used to manage certain autoimmune disorders, including psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis, where an overactive immune system attacks healthy tissues. During treatment, regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, blood sugar levels, and signs of infection is important, as Cyclosporine may increase the risk of hypertension, kidney impairment, diabetes, and infections.

Patients should not discontinue this medicine without medical advice, as sudden withdrawal may increase the risk of transplant rejection or worsening of the underlying condition. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice should be avoided during treatment because they can increase Cyclosporine levels in the blood, raising the likelihood of side effects.

Uses

Conimune Me 50mg uses are Prevention of organ rejection (Kidney, liver, and heart) Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriasis

How it works

By suppressing the immune system, Conimune ME 50mg capsule helps prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. After organ transplantation, the immune system recognises the transplanted organ as foreign and launches an immune response to attack and reject it. Conimune ME 50mg capsule inhibits the activation of T-cells, a type of white blood cell involved in immune responses. This suppression of T-cell activity helps to prevent the immune system from attacking and damaging the transplanted organ, thereby increasing the chances of successful organ transplantation.
